Overview

Swisscontact Inclusive Financial project has been supporting Agricultural and Marketing Cooperative Societies (AMCOS) in Kilimanjaro and Morogoro regions of Tanzania to implement Warehouse Receipts Systems (WRS) with the aim of creating awareness among smallholder farmers on WRS as well as enabling them to access credit facilities from the formal financial institutions. Swisscontact intended to build capacity in Lending and Credit Management, and Personal Financial Management, for SACCO staff and credit committee members in Same, Kilimanjaro region and rice farmers in Dakawa, Morogoro region, respectively.

Description of the Service Provided

Based on clients’ topics, DCL developed training materials and use the same to train on Personal Financial Management and Lending and Credit Management for rice farmers and SACCO staff and credit committee, respectively.

• Developed the training materials; and
• Delivered the training to SACCO staff and credit committee members, and smallholder rice farmers.
